When people work with me as an Animal Communicator, one of the most amazing energies I feel and observe in the connection between people and pets is gratitude and (of course) love.
It is widely well-known that feeling and expressing gratitude will improve your spirits, your energy, and your life. Cultures around the world teach the importance of gratitude and being thankful for anything and everything in one’s life.
The practice of keeping a gratitude journal is also a common practice that will really amplify the experience of gratitude because we are grounding the intent and energy of gratitude on paper (or computer)….putting actual words to our feelings and bringing them to life. However, its one thing to know about gratitude journaling…..but its another to take action and actually do it on a regular basis.
When it comes to our pets, our energy may affect them whether we realize it or not. If we are happy, sad, stressed, angry, confident, relaxed, and/or even hopeful and excited…..our animals feel our energy and it may potentially affect their behavior.

Keeping a gratitude journal and writing in it every day will improve your pet’s life because you are elevating your own energy to a higher vibration when you experience gratitude. Scientific studies have even showed that when we practice gratitude on a regular basis, it will improve our mood and alleviate stress.
When our vibration is elevated to a higher level through appreciation and gratitude….we begin to attract similar high vibration energies and experiences to us…..leading to more goodness….more joy….more happiness….and more to be grateful for and to appreciate.
This, in turn, benefits our pets because we are happier, more optimistic and joyful….our animals will feel this energy and it will elevate them as well….calming them….soothing them….making them also feel the joy and balance.
A great way to keep a gratitude journal is to find something to write in that is special and makes you happy…..it could be a simple notebook or a fancier journal.
Each day, preferably in the morning, write down five to ten things you are grateful for in your life. They can be specific to your pets or they can relate to all aspects of your life.
Then, to amp it up a notch, consider also list five to ten things you would like to manifest in your life and express gratitude for them coming your way and feel them in the present moment as if you already are experiencing them now.
When we truly and deeply experience the feeling of being grateful….we begin the process of manifestation. The key here, though, is to allow yourself to really feel your gratitude for each point you list in your journal….it’s not about just writing a list….its about feeling the gratitude for each point.
Write in your gratitude journal everyday for at least a month and just relax into the process and trust that the Universe is taking care of you and your pets.
Often people end up continuing this process of gratitude journaling everyday beyond a month…..and I have seen many clients notice shifts in their pet’s behavior because they have elevated their own personal energy to a more calm and joyful level.
