As an animal communicator, people often ask me for simple ways to better understand and communicate with their pets through energy and intuition.
Animals are always picking on the energy around them, especially from humans, and we have an opportunity to utilize our energetic connections with them in order to understand and communicate with them more clearly.
An exercise I like to share offers a few simple steps to tap into energy and intuition as a way of strengthening our connection with our pets.

The first step is to calm your own mind and energy through some form of meditation. You don’t have to invest hours of time into it or run off to a mountain top and isolate yourself far away from the world to effectively dive deep into meditation.
Simply taking a few moments to close your eyes, focus on slow deep breaths, imagine you are grounding yourself into the earth.
Use your awareness to scan your body from your feet up to the top of your head, objectively aware of your physical experience within the moment. This helps diffuse distractions and helps you become more aware of what energy you are feeling is yours….so when you are connecting with the animal you are able to clearly decipher what feelings yours and not yours.
Then hold an intention of listening and receiving with all your senses, whole body listening, not just in your mind….but also your heart and your entire being.
Be open to receive what comes to you and allow your imagination to create whatever it needs to….you may see something in your head….maybe a symbol….don’t analyze it….just be open and receive.
Often what comes through may feel random, abstract, or won’t make sense at first….but upon contemplating more, a message or other information may come to light and make sense.
You may want to have a pen and paper or your phone to write down what is coming through….often information comes through almost like a dream and if you don’t grab it and write it down…you may forget it or miss it entirely.
Next, you can set an intention and imagine you are communicating something to the animal and that you are sharing it through energy.
You may imagine you are sending it through feelings from your heart center, pictures, images or words from your mind’s eye, or you may imagine you are sending something like airmail through the air to them…..whatever works for you. Don’t judge it and allow yourself room to imagine, explore, and be creative.
You may see the animal respond to your message….or maybe nothing happens….this experience can take some practice and can be strengthened like a muscle….the more you do it….the easier and clearer it becomes.
After you have completed this exercise, review your notes and anything that came up….and recognize and celebrate your successes. The more you recognize and celebrate….the stronger this intuitive muscle becomes.
The benefits you will receive from this experience (and with practice) are a stronger understanding and connection with your pets, being able to better address their needs, and for them to understand your intentions and needs more clearly.
All it takes is a willingness, openness, creativity, patience, calm confidence and intention….especially an intention to really be in the moment to observe, allow, and feel.
Give this exercise a try and commit to a few minutes a day for a few weeks and see what you experience….you may open up new ways of enhancing your pet psychic connection with animals!
